Each portrait session MUST be scheduled between March 5 and April 13, 2012! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Each photo session will consist of 15-20 images and will be scheduled in 30 minute increments and will be in-studio only, so please be on time as many others will also have scheduled session times on the same day.
All sessions are for ONE child only. Siblings MUST have their own individually scheduled session time and may NOT be included in each other's portraits for this contest's entry portrait.
Sessions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
This photo session is meant to showcase your child's personality. Parents are encouraged to bring in their child's favorite item or items such as: their favorite toy, dress up items, dance outfits, sports items, etc., for a fun and candid photo shoot.
After your portrait session, we will schedule another appointment time for you to come in and view and choose your favorite pose to be entered into the photo contest.
If you wish to purchase portraits (purchase is not required for this contest!) from your child's photo session, you may do so at your viewing appointment. During the month of April only, for this contest, we will be offering our One Pose/Three Sheet collection for only $39.95 plus sales tax. (regularly $79.95) and additional 8 x 10 sheets for $15 each. If you place your order after April 30, 2011, you will be subject to regular package pricing. Payment is due at the time the order is placed. This contest pricing special cannot be combined with any other discounts, coupons or special offers.
All entries will be posted on April 23, 2012 on our Facebook Fan Page.(still to be determined for 2012)
Voting will take place from April 23 until May 1st, 2012. The winners will be decided by which photos receive the most votes on our website.
The Grand Prize winner will be announced on this Web Page on May 2, 2012.
The Top 20 Babies and the Top 20 Children will be posted in the respective photo galleries on this website.
The portrait with the most votes (Grand Prize Winner) will be featured in our ad in the June edition of Toledo Area Parent.

Voting will take place (to be determined) on my Facebook Fan Page.
Step 1: In order to cast your vote, please go to my Fan Page at www.facebook.com/KurtNielsenPhotography
then click the "Like" button at the top of the page.
(You must "Like" my page or you will not be able to cast your vote and your vote will not count.)
Step 2: On the left side of the top of the page, you will see the tab for my Facebook photos (under my profile logo picture).
Just click on the photos tab and it will take you to all of the albums that I have posted to Facebook.
Step 3: Once you get to the Album page, find the "That's Me" album, and click on the album cover photo.
This will open the album allowing you to see all of the photos in the contest.
Step 4: Go to your favorite photo (or photos) and under the photo, you will see another "Like" button.
Simply click on the "Like" button and your vote will be cast and counted.
You will not see the "Like" button if you did not already "Like" my Page.
Also, please be aware, some cell phones do not allow you to see the "Like" button either, so it is better to vote from a computer.
You may "Like" as many photos as you wish, however, you may only "Like" each photo one time.

Having a child with a devastating illness or injury is extremely difficult on any family. Having to travel out of town for medical treatment just adds to the complexity of the situation. That's when the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio can help ease this difficult time for a family from out of town.
Every year, over 500 families who come to Toledo for their child's medical treatment stay at the Ronald McDonald House. These families can stay at no cost to them as long as their child is receiving medical care and can come back as often as needed for follow up care. While staying at the Ronald McDonald House, the families are provided with a safe and comfortable place to relax, eat and sleep. There is no charge to these families for the housing, their food, doing their laundry, parking or transportation to medical facilities. All of this is made possible through the generosity of others.
Ronald McDonald House Charities isn't just about the local Ronald McDonald House. They also help with other issues related to the health and well being of children. You can find out all about what they do, volunteer opportunities and upcoming events by visiting their website at: www.rmhctoledo.org
I have partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio to help bring awareness to their efforts and raise money for their cause. I have donated my time and photography services for many years to Ronald McDonald House Charities for their promotional items and fundraisers. With this being a photo contest about children and their families, I felt it only made sense to help raise money for a charity about children, and what better charity than one with which I am already involved.
