Your senior year is one of the most exciting chapters of your life. It’s a time filled with memories, milestones, and accomplishments worth celebrating. Most of my Senior Photos Sessions do come with a yearbook photo. However, I know sometimes you only want or need the yearbook photo so I created a yearbook only portrait session. I even host Yearbook Walk-In days at my studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How do I schedule my senior portrait session?

Answer: I only schedule sessions via telephone because my schedule can change by the minute, especially during busy times of the year. To schedule your Senior Photos, please call my studio at 419 885 7153

If I cannot come to the phone, please leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Once your appointment is scheduled, please be on time. I do everything by appointment and often times schedule sessions back to back. Please be respectful of my other clients time as you would want them to be respectful of your session time.

Question: How long will my session be?

Answer: Session length depends on the type of session.

A yearbook only session is approximately 10 minutes for photography time, then you will pick your image that will be sent to the school right after. Please allow 30 minutes for this session.

An inside only session is approximately 45 minutes of photographing time. Please allow one hour for this session.

An inside and outside session is approximately 45 minutes inside and another 45 minutes outside. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours for this session to allow for drive times from the studio to your outside location or outside location to the studio depending on where we start your session.

A Senior Special session is approximately 10 minutes of photography in the studio and another 45 minutes at an outside location. Please allow one and a half hours for this session which will include driving time.

Question: What should I wear and how many outfits can I bring?

Answer: Wear what makes you, You. Of course solid neutral colors work the best because of the varying background choices you will have. But, your senior photos should reflect your personality and style. So go ahead and bring that jersey or fancy dress or Pink Floyd retro Tee. Just keep in mind that you will be doing a lot of walking at your outdoor location shoot if you have one scheduled.

I usually recommend 2 or 3 outfits for each part of your session. For instance, if you are only doing inside or outside, then wear the outfit you absolutely want to be photographed in to your session and we will start with that. Then you can change outfits once or twice.

If you are doing both inside and outside sessions, then bring 2-3 for each. Again, wear what your "must have" outfit to start your session.

If you are doing a yearbook only session, wear what you want to be photographed in to your session. This will save vaulable time.

Just keep in mind that your session times are limited and the longer you take to change, the less time we will have to photograph you.

Question: Can I bring my pet and other props?

Answer: The answer is Absolutely! Of course, if you are bringing a pet, please make sure that there is someone who can handle and take care of that pet while you are being photographed as not all photos will include the pet. Also, please let me know you if you plan to bring a pet when you call to schedule your session. Many people have pet allergies and I want to make sure I schedule enough time in between sessions to avoid any allergic reactions.

Many students also bring their best friends, teammates or boyfriend or girlfriend and even family members to their session to be photographed. Please remember this session is all about you and they may come but they will not be in every photo that is taken. If they want a full session, they would need to schedule one separately. If you would like to schedule back to back sessions, please let me know when you call and I will arrange for this.

Although I do have a wide variety of studio props, things that are personal to you make your senior pictures even better

Props like your sports gear, musical instruments, your car and other personal items can also be brought to your session. I have had seniors set up full drum kits and bring soccer nets. Please keep in mind that things that need extra time to set up will cut into your session time so feel free to bring a friend or a parent to help set things up.

Question: How do I see my proofs?

Answer: All of my portrait sessions are now uploaded to a private online gallery. Once your session images are fully edited, I will upload them to your gallery and send you an email containing the viewing instructions and gallery specific password.

It is important to remember that all portrait galleries are only viewable for two weeks. Once your two-week time has expired, there will be a $25 reactivation fee to continue to have online access to your gallery. Please view the images and make your selection as soon as possible.

Question: How do I place my order?

Answer: You must call me at 419 885 7153 to schedule an appointment to come in to order your prints and/or digital files. This is to make sure that the correct image is ordered as sometimes our image number does not always match the image number that you see.

My online gallery does provide you with the opportunity to like individual images and save them to your favorites list. However, I do not have access to your liked photos list. Please write down the image name while you are selecting your favorites. Each image name will say something like IMG_your name. That is the file name that I will need at your ordering session.

Question: When do I have to pay?

Answer: All session fees are due at the time of your session. All print or digital package fees are due at your ordering session.

If you want me to submit your yearbook session to your school, you must place your order before your school yearbook deadline. I will not send in a yearbook photo from a full session that has not placed an order.

Question: I am only having a yearbook only session. Do I get the image?

Answer: The short answer is no. However, you can order prints from your yearbook only session.

For all sessions that include a yearbook image, I will retouch the image and crop it to your school yearbook required size and submit it directly to your school yearbook advisor. I will also have that advisor confirm that it has indeed been received. You do not have to do anything but show up and get your photo taken and pick the image that will be sent to your school, and of course, pay the session fee.

Every year, I do schedule yearbook walk in days for students who need their yearbook photo taken. On these dates, no appointment is necessary as long as you come in during the specified times. This is a first come, first served event and everyone will be photographed in the order that they arrive. How long you will be there will be determined by how busy we are that day. It only takes a few minutes to actually photograph you. It does take a little longer to pick your favorite image and to pay for the session and any prints you may want to order. On these dates, we do offer special pricing for prints if you choose to order.

Question: How long do you keep my images on file?

Answer: Since I upload all of my images to an online gallery, they are permanently housed there. I also have them stored internally on my server. So technically, forever, as long as I am still in business.

You may place an additional order at any time, even years later since I keep them. They are sorted by month and year so it is important to know an approximate date so we can easily find older images.
